Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Ovoid Jug with Tulip.  
 
This tulip is typically attributed to the pottery of Sidney Risley of Norwich, Connecticut. Risley ran his pottery from 1836 to 1875 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 56).
 
This beauty features an Early Ovoid Form and a Tulip with Curly Cue Leaves and a Brushed Cobalt Blossom.  Stands 11" tall.
 
Excellent Condition.  Three small contiguous chips on the right side center, a minor 1/4" chip at the base, and typical glaze wear.  That's it!  No spout chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
