    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Stoneware Jug whose decoration indicates that it was likely made by Jacob Fisher of Lyons, N.Y.  

     

    Fisher who ran the pottery in Lyons from 1872-1902 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 74).

     

    This beauty features a Tulip with a Stem Created by a Slip Cup and a Blossom created with a Brush. A simple and folky decoration. Stands 11 1/2" tall.

     

    Good Condition.  A 1/2" chip on top of the spout in the back and another on the front, and some light staining on the right side. No base chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
