Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Uncommon 10 Gallon Crock whose decoration indicates that it was made by R. T. Williams of New Geneva, Pennsylvania. Robert T. Williams who worked in New Geneva from 1882 to 1895 (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners , pp. 168-70).
This beauty features an uncommon Large Crock Form and Freehand Decoration. A straight and wavy stripe accent the top, a large undulating vine with two fuchsia decorate the middle, and a wavy and straight stripe frame the capacity number surrounded by vining at the bottomm. Measures 18" tall and 13" wide across the top.
Very Good Condition with restoration. One apology. A Y-shaped crack on the underside with one 1" hole that comes up vertically on the front 4" to the right of the capacity number and vertically on the back halfway and then goes horizontally left to under the right handle (closeups). Professional restoration.
