Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Cream Pot whose decoration makes it easy to attribute to Stephen Ward of West Brownsville, Pennsylvania.

Stephen Ward took over the pottery of Offord and Federer in West Brownsville in 1867 and ran it until about 1880.  He only worked 6 months a year with a two man crew, so not many pieces were made and fewer survived (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, p. 174).

This beauty bears the Cream Pot Form, Top Stripe, Emblem, Capacity Number framed by Dotted Swirls, and a Small Floral.  Measures 10" tall and 9" wide across the top.

Excellent Condition.  A flat 1" chip on the front at the bottom.  That's it!  No rim chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  A 1/2" chip on the left side at the bottom in the making.
