    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Stoneware Preserve Jar stamped "Lyons."

     

    The decoration indicates that this jar is the work of Jacob Fisher who ran the pottery in Lyons from 1872-1902 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 74).

     

    This beauty features the Pottery Stamp, Freehand Capacity Number "2", and a Brushed Cobalt Leaf Decoration.  Stands 11" tall.  

     

    Very Good Condition.  A 1/4" chip inside the rim, some water glass staining inside, and some staining outside.  No rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
