Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Crock with Bird on a Log Decoration.
It is typically attributed to the Ballard Vale Stoneware Company of Ballard Vale, Massachusetts around the 1870's.
This beauty features a Bright Cobalt Bird Perched on a Log Decoration. The blue is hard to beat on this one. Measures 9 1/4" tall and 10" wide across the top.
Very Good Condition. Water glass staining inside and some trace outside, and a 1/4" sliver chip on the left handle. No rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration. What looks like a hairline on the right side is impurity in the clay.
