Circa 1900, this piece has the wide flared rim and high fired glossy slip typical of Gillsville Potters. See John Burrison, Brothers in Clay: The Story of Georgia Folk Pottery, ch 15.
This beauty features a Flared Rim, Tooled Shoulder, and Glossy Slip Glaze. Stands 12" tall.
Very Good Condition. A surface glaze rub on one handle and a 3" vertical line at the base that wraps under 4". Otherwise, no chips, cracks, stains, or restoration.
