Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Pair of Yellow Ware Butter Crocks sold for 1 Money.
Both date from the early 20th century.
The larger butter crock is from the Dandy Line of kitchen ware produced by Brush McCoy. It has three white slip stripes around the middle and "Butter" in black stencil. Measures 4 1/2" tall and 6 1/2" wide across the top.
The smaller butter crock has three slip stripes around the middle and a rich pumpkin coloration. Measures 4 1/2" by 5 1/2" wide.
The larger butter crock has a 1/4" chip on the bottom edge, a 2 1/2" hairline from the rim on the back (closeup), and some light staining. No rim chips or restoration.
The smaller butter crock has three pings on the underside of the footer (closeup). Otherwise as made.
