Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 6 3/4" Tanware Pitcher from New Geneva, Pennsylvania.
During the 1880's the pottery in New Geneva made these pitchers as souvenirs for coming to outings at the pottery.
This beauty features a Tall Neck with Flared Rim, Tooled Shoulder, Semi-Bulbous Body, and Lots of Hand Decoration. From the top down, this beauty features a Lincoln drape, leaves on the rim under the spout, dots around the shoulder, an elaborate vine with two fuchsia around the body, and a bottom stripe. Additional stripes down the handle. Stands 6 3/4" tall.
Excellent Condition. As made. No damage of any kind. A couple pinhead-size voids and a 1/4" piece of extra clay inside in the making.
A great small size with a lot of decoration.
