Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Stoneware Preserve Jar made and stamped for the merchant, "A. B. Wheeler & Co., Boston, Mass."  
 
Wheeler was a major grocer in the Boston area in the late 19th century and was located on 69 Broad Street.
 
The decoration indicates that the jar was made in Fort Edward, N.Y. about 1880. 
 
This beauty features the Company Advertising on the Shoulder and Washed in Cobalt, and a Bright and Bold Floral Bouquet Draped Across the Front.  Stands 11 1/2" tall.
 
Excellent Condition.  Light staining on the sides. That's it!  No chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.  295
