Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Wax Sealer made by "A. Conrad, New Geneva, Fayette Co., PA."  
 
Alexander Conrad ran the pottery in New Geneva from 1870-1882 before moving to Shinnston, WV (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 164-65).
 
Dating to the 1870's, this beauty features a Tooled Rim and Shoulder, Canted Sides, and the Company Advertising in Four Lines at the Bottom with Floral Flourishes.  The stencil is complete, cobalt strong.  Stands 9 1/4" tall.
 
Exceptional Condition.  As made. No damage of any kind.  Kiln touch on the left side toward the back in the making.
