Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this 2 Gallon Jug made and stamped by "A. K. Ballard, Burlington, VT."
 
This is the mark of Alfred Ballard who ran the family pottery under this stamp from 1867-1874 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 46).
 
This beauty sports the Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash, and a Brushed Cobalt Stylized Dotted Floral.  Stands 14 3/4" tall.   
 
Good Condition. Chips on the spout and a couple small stains as shown.  No base chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
