Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this 3 Gallon Crock made and stamped by "A. K. Ballard, Burlington, VT."
This is the mark of Alfred Ballard who ran the family pottery under this stamp from 1867-1874 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 46).
This beauty sports a Rounded Tooled Rim, Applied Handles, Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash, and a Large Dragonfly Decoration. Measures 11" tall and 11" wide across the top.
Good Condition. Waterglass staining inside and staining outside. No chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
