Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Script Crock made for "A. L. Deudney."
This is the work of Jacob Fisher who ran the pottery in Lyons from 1872-1902 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 74).
This beauty features a Cinnamon-Colored Glaze, Pottery Stamp, and Merchant Advertising in Script. Measures 8 3/4" tall and 10" wide across the top.
Good Condition. A 4" hairline from the rim on the front to the right of the pottery stamp down to the script, and a 5" hairline from the rim with staining in the back. Two minor nibbles on the left handle (1/8", 1/4"), and a dozen small glaze flakes on the bottom edge. No rim chips or restoration.
