    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Preserve Jar made and stamped by "A. O. Whittemore, Havana, N.Y."

     

    This is the work of A. O. Whittemore who potted in Havana from 1862-1893 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 72).

     

    This beauty features a Strong Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash, and a Bright Cobalt Floral Decoration. The flower has two leaves supporting a triple circular blossom. Stands 10 1/2" tall.   

     

    Very Good Condition.  Scattered staining.  That's it!  No chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
