Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 3 Gallon Churn made by "A. P. Donaghho, Parkersburg, W. VA."
Donaghho ran his pottery in Parkersburg, WV from 1874-1900.
This beauty features a handsome Churn Form, Tall Tooled Rim, Applied Handles, Light Gray Salt Glaze, and Fancy Stenciling on a Diagonal to include a "Winged" Capacity Number at the Top, Zipper in the Middle, and Company Advertising at the Bottom. All the stenciling is crisp and complete. Stands 15 1/4" tall.
Very Good Condition. A dime-sized chip inside the rim, a narrow 1" chip under the rim above the right handle, a 1" chip in the left handle, two chips on the right handle (1/2", 1"), and some staining at the bottom. No base chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
