Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 4 Gallon Jar made and stamped by "A. P. Donaghho, Parkersburg, West VA."
 
Donaghho ran his pottery in Parkersburg from 1874-1900.
 
This beauty features the Capacity Number "4" Flanked by a Triangle of 9 Dots, and the Company Advertising Stenciled Across the Front in 1" and 3/4" Letters.  All the decoration is executed with crisp stenciling and strong cobalt on a light gray glaze for strong contrast. Stands 14 1/2" tall.
 
Excellent Condition.  A 3/8" chip on each handle.  Otherwise as made!  Slightly wavy rim in the making.
