    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 8 Gallon Jar made by "A. P. Donaghho, Parkersburg, W. V."

     

    Donaghho ran his pottery in Parkersburg, WV from 1874-1900.

     

    This beauty features a handsome Large Form, Tooled and Flared Rim, Applied Handles, Light Gray Salt Glaze, the Capacity Number in a Dotted "Flying" Circle, and the Company Advertising in Cobalt Letters.  All the advertising is crisp and complete.  Stands 18 1/2" tall.

     

    Excellent Condition.  A 1/4" flake inside the rim, a narrow 1/2" chip on the left handle, and a faint X surface craze line on the back bottom (closeup).  That's it!  No outer rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
