Item 10422
Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Ink Bottle made and stamped "Vitreous Stone Bottles, Warranted Not to Absorb. Manufactured only by the American Bottle Co., Middlebury, O." [Ohio]
Dating to the late 19th century, this beauty features the Ink Bottle Form and the Company Advertising Clearly Stamped at the Base. The stamp includes an eagle standing on a shield on an olive branch. Stands 7 1/4" tall.
The bottle comes from the collection of F. Robert Treichler, portions of which I purchased this year.
Excellent Condition. A pinhead-size nibble on the spout and a 1/2" chip on the underside at the edge (8 o'clock in the picture). No hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
