Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 3 Gallon Ovoid Jar made and stamped by "Armstrong & Wentworth, Norwich."
 
This is the mark of Peleg Armstrong and Erastus Wentworth who worked in Norwich, Connecticut from 1814-1834 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 56).
 
This beauty features an Early Ovoid Form with the Impressed Pottery Stamp Washed in Cobalt and Applied Handles with Cobalt Accents at the Terminals. Stands 13" tall.
 
Good Condition.  Two 1/4" flakes and a 1/2" surface ping on the rim (closeup 1), and weather checks or flakes around the bottom two inches (closeup 2).  No inner rim chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
