Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Ovoid Jug made and stamped by "Armstrong & Wentworth, Norwich."
 
This is the mark of Peleg Armstrong and Erastus Wentworth who worked in Norwich, Connecticut from 1814-1834 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 56).
 
This beauty features an Early Ovoid Form, Reeded Neck, and Impressed Pottery Stamp Washed in Cobalt. Stands 12" tall.
 
Very Good Condition.  Chips around the footer and some staining from use.  No spout chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
