Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Jug made and stamped by the "Ballard Vale Stoneware Mfg. C." 
 
This company resided in Ballard Vale, Massachusetts around the 1870's. 
 
This beauty features the Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash and a Delicate Flowering Plant Created with a Slip Cup.  All the leaves surround a center blossom.  There are 66 individual leaves (no,  I do not have enough to do, lol).  Stands 14 1/2" tall.
 
Excellent Condition. A single 1/8" nibble inside the spout.  That's it!  No outer spout or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration. A 1/2" drying/firing line in the spout in the making and glazed over (closeup).
