Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Jug made and stamped by the "Ballard Vale Stoneware Mfg. C." 
 
This company resided in Ballard Vale, Massachusetts around the 1870's. 
 
This beauty features the Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash and a Delicate Flowering Plant Created with a Slip Cup.  All the leaves surround a center blossom.  Stands 11 3/4" tall.
 
Very Good Condition. A 3/8" stone ping on the spout, a faint horizontal line through the base of the handle, and two contiguous 1/2" chips on the underside at the edge.  No body hairlines or cracks, stains, or restoration.   Dry cobalt in the making.
