    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 3 Gallon Double-Handled Jar made and stamped front and back by the "West Troy, N.Y. Pottery."

     

    It was made for the Merchant "Benj. Spear, Springfield, Mass."  

     

    Dating to the mid-19th century, this beauty sports an Uncommon Double-Handled Jar Form, Two Pottery Stamps with Cobalt Wash, and Cobalt Script Advertising.  Looks very much like a trophy!  The blue is bright and beautiful, and the clay light and clean.  Measures 14 3/4" tall.

     

    Excellent Condition.  A hairline around the bottom of the left handle terminal (closeup).  Never detached and strong. That's it!  No chips, body hairliines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
