Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 6 1/2" Blue and White Spongeware Pitcher.
It was made by the Uhl Pottery of Huntingburg, Indiana (Anna Mary Feldmeyer & Kara Holtzman, Uhl Pottery, 2nd ed., p. 25).
Dating to the early 20th century, this beauty has a Bulbous Base with Tall Neck and Pinched Spout, Embossed Scalloped Shoulder Border, and Gorgeous Blue Patterned Sponging. This form and maker is a perennial favorite with collectors. This is the smallest of 3 sizes, standing only 6 1/2" tall.
