Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Blue and White Spongeware Rectangular Baking Dish.  
 
Dating to the late 19th century, this beauty features a Rectangular Form with Canted Sides and Pretty Cobalt Sponging. Measures 9 3/4" long, 8" wide, and 2" deep. 
 
As you know, these dishes were used in the oven and very few survive such extreme and daily use. 
 
Excellent Condition.  Light surface wear from use and three tripod mark from the making on the inside and outside bottom, and glaze wear on the underside at the edges. That's it!  No chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
