Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this uncommon Blue and White Spongeware Barrel Pitcher.

Dating around 1900 to 1920, this beauty is formed as a Barrel with Wooden Staves and Four Metal Hoops.  Sponging is wonderfully done in neat vertical and horizonal rows of dark cobalt.  Stands 6" tall.

Very Good Condition.  A narrow 5/8" strip on the top of the left side of the spout where the glaze has worn off (closeup 1), and a hairline around the top of the handle that is partially a firing line in the making (closeup 2).  No base chips, body hairlines or cracks, stains, or restoration.
