    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 7 1/2" Blue and White Spongeware Pitcher.

     

    It was made by the Uhl Pottery of Huntingburg, Indiana (Anna Mary Feldmeyer & Kara Holtzman, Uhl Pottery, 2nd ed., p. 25).

     

    Dating to the early 20th century, this beauty has a Bulbous Base with Tall Neck and Pinched Spout, as well as Gorgeous Blue Patterned Sponging.  This form and maker is a perennial favorite with collectors. This is the middle of 3 sizes, standing 7 1/2" tall.

     

    Excellent Condition.  Some light staining inside, and a minor 3/16" nibble on the right side back by the handle.  That's it!  No inner rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, outer stains, or restoration.
