Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Blue and White Spongeware Spittoon.  
 
Dating to the early 20th century, this beauty features a Rich Blue and White Sponged Base and a Brass Lid.  Measures 3 3/4" tall and 7 3/4" wide across the top.  
 
This was brilliant manufacturing.  The crock was typically used for butter and cottage cheese.  All they had to do was make a brass lid to change its function.  And this configuration made for easy cleaning too!
 
Excellent Condition. A 3/8" chip on the outside of the rim and some light staining inside.  No inner rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.  The brass lid is as made and not dented.
