Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Blue and White Pitcher in the Grape Cluster on Rickrack Pattern.
Dating around 1900, this pitcher features a rickrack background from which clusters of grapes hang. As you can see, the mold lines and color on this example are extraordinary. Stands 7 3/4" tall.
You can see this piece in Terry Taylor and Terry and Kay Lowrance, Collector's Encyclopedia of Salt Glaze Stoneware, pp. 43-45. It is the smallest and least common of the three sizes made.
Excellent Condition. A single 1/8" nibble inside the rim and one at the base That's it! No outer rim chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
