Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Blue and White Stoneware Pitcher in the Lincoln Head Pattern.
It was made by the Uhl Pottery of Huntingburg, Indiana in the early 20th century. It came in 5 sizes from 1 gallon to 1/2" pint. This is the smallest size, measuring 4 1/2" to the top of the rim and 5 1/2" to the top of the spout. See Anna Feldmeyer and Kara Holtzman, Uhl Pottery, 2nd ed., p. 14.
This beauty features Tapered Sides, Wide Spout, Thumb Grip, Embossed Profile of Abraham Lincoln with his cabin on the left and him chopping wood on the right, and Diffused Blue coloration.
Good Restored Condition. Some light staining inside. The spout has been professionally restored (good job). No base chips, hairlines, or cracks.
