Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Gorgeous Blue and White Spongeware 1 Gallon Jug.
 
Dating around 1900, this beauty features the Platform Shape, Double Ringed Spout, Applied Handle and Eye-catching Blue Sponging on White Glaze.  Stands 10 1/4" tall.
 
These jugs are not easy to find.  Few were made due to the intensive decorating necessary in an age when there was little profit for any jug.  
 
Excellent Condition.  A 1/4" chip on the side of the spout and one on the shoulder.  That's it!  No base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  Salt glaze on the front in the making.
