Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Blue and White Spongeware Pillbox Cuspidor, Spittoon.
 
Dating to the late 19th century, this beauty features an uncommon Pillbox Form with Striped Rim and Base, as well as Careful, Patterned Sponging in Dark Cobalt.  Measures 5" tall and 10" wide across the top.  
 
Good Condition.  A shallow 1/2" chip on the upper left of the drainage opening, three 1/4" chips on the base/underside, a star-shaped surface ping inside not visible outside (closeup), and some glaze crazing of age.  No hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
