    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Blue and White Rolling Pin in the Wildflower Pattern.  

     

    You can see similar rolling pins in this pattern in Taylor and Lowrance, Collector's Encyclopedia of Salt Glaze Stoneware, pp. 142-145.

     

    Dating around 1900 to 1920, this beauty features Stripes and Two Bunches of Wildflowers around Each End.   All the cobalt is bold and shiny which is not often the case on these pins.  Measures 8" long and 3" in diameter.  

     

    Very Good Condition.  Four small glaze flakes on the edge of one end (1/8" to 1/4").  No hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  A 3/8" clay void where impurities burned out during the firing process.
