Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Stoneware Wax Sealer Canning Jar made by "Boyers, Knotts, Palatine, W. VA."
 
This beauty was made around 1880 and features the Wax Sealer Form, Top and Bottom Stripe, and a Rounded Stenciled Label. Stands 10" tall.
 
Good Condition.  Some chips around the inner rim, a reglued 5/8" chip on the rim on the right side (closeup), and a faint 2" surface y-shaped line on the underside, and a faint stain run on the right side.  No base chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
