Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Stoneware Jar made by "Boyers, Knotts, Palatine, W. VA." (Modern Fairmont)
 
This beauty was made around 1880 and features the Wax Sealer Form, Two Top and a Bottom Stripe, and a Rounded Stenciled Label. Stands 11 3/4" tall.
 
Excellent Condition.  Two chips inside the rim (3/8", 5/8") and some scattered light staining. That's it!  No outer rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.  The chip on the rim in the front is where some straw burned away in the firing process and is glazed over.
