Item 8305
Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Blue and White Spongeware Pitcher and Bowl.
It was made by Brush-McCoy in the early 20th century (Martha and Steve Sanford, The Guide to Brush-McCoy Pottery, p. 29).
This Pitcher features a Teardrop Shape with Flared Spout, Embossed Lyre on Each Side, Sponged Rim and Base, and 3 Center Stripes. The Bowl Boasts the Same Decoration Modified for Height. The pitcher stands 12" tall and the bowl measures 4 1/2" tall and 15 1/2" wide across the top.
Comes from my private collection.
Exceptional Condition. As made. No damage of any kind. A 1/2" stone protrusion on the left side near the middle in the making.
