Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Jug made and stamped by the "Burger Bro's & Co., Rochester, N.Y." 
 
This is the mark of John Burger, Jr. and his brother, George, who ran the pottery with this stamp from 1867-1870 (William Ketchum, Jr., Potters and Potteries of New York State, 1650-1900, p. 379). 
 
This beauty features the Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash, Freehand Capacity Number, and a Daisy in Bloom Executed with a Slip Cup.  The flower has 5 leaves and a blossom with 5 petals.  All the decoration is accented with lines for a 3-D effect.  Stands 13 1/2" tall.
 
Excellent Condition.  A 1 1/4" surface craze line on the shoulder (closeup).  That's it!  No chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
