    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Pitcher made and stamped by "Burger & Lang, Rochester, N.Y."

     

    This is the mark of John Burger, Jr., George Burger, and their brother-in-law, George Lang who ran the family's pottery using this stamp from 1867 to 1877 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 74).

     

    This beauty sports a Classic Form with Rounded Pinched Rim and Spout, Tall Neck, Bulbous Body, Applied Handle, Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash, and Two Brushed Cobalt Tulips.  Stands 11" tall.

     

    Excellent Condition.  A minor 1/8" nibble inside the rim and on the base edge.  Exceptionally clean.  No hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
