Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 3 Gallon Stoneware Crock made and stamped by "C. W. Braun, Buffalo, N.Y."
 
This is the mark of Charles W. Braun who ran the old Heiser pottery in Buffalo from 1857 to 1896 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 75).
 
Dating around 1870, this beauty features a Thick Rounded Rim, Applied Handles, Pottery Stamp, and the Capacity Number and Floral Garland Executed with a Slip Cup. Measures 10 1/4" tall and 10 1/4" wide across the top. 
 
Very Good Condition.  A faint "2 1/2" Gal." written on the back with marker.  Otherwise, as made.
