Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1/2 Gallon Jug made and stamped by "C. Hermann & Co., Milwaukee." 
 
This is the work of Charles Hermann who founded a pottery in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1856 and ran it until 1882 when his stepson, Louis Pierron, took over (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 147).  
 
This beauty features a Small Size, Albany Slip Glaze, and the Company Name Stamped on the  Shoulder.  Stands 8 1/8" tall.
 
Excellent Condition. Shallow glaze chips on the spout.  That's it!  No base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
