    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 3 Gallon Stoneware Jar made in Baltimore, Maryland.

     

    Dating around 1850, this beauty features a Semi-Ovoid Form, Finely Tooled Squared Rim, Applied Handles with Cobalt Accent, and a Garland of Freehand Vining Around the Shoulder with a Large Dangling Tulip on Each Side.  The cobalt is generous, bright, and shiny on a light gray glaze for strong contrast.  Stands 14" tall. 

     

    Very Good Condition.  Water glass staining inside and some outside from use.  A narrow 1" rough spot on the rim, a 1" chip on the inside of one handle, and two chips on the base (1/4", 2").  No inner rim chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
