Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 gallon Stoneware Jar from Baltimore, Maryland.

The flower with the circle between the stem and leaves makes a probable attribution to Mauldine Perine or his former associate, William Linton of Baltimore, Maryland.  Perine and sons worked in stoneware from approximately 1827 to after 1900 and Linton made stoneware from 1845 to 1867 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 98).

Dating around 1850, this beauty features a Garland of Brushed Cobalt Florals that include 1 Leaf and 3 Full Flowers in Bloom.  Bright cobalt blue on a light gray glaze for strong contrast.  Stands 10 1/4" tall.

Excellent Condition.  A 1/4" chip inside the rim and a 1/2" chip outside the rim.  That's it!  No base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
