    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 3 Gallon Churn from Northeast Ohio around Akron. 

     

    Dating around 1860, this beauty features a Tooled Churn Rim with Inner Ledge for a Lid, Applied Handles, Freehand 3 Capacity Number, and a Large Brushed Cobalt Tulip with 8 Leaves and a Blossom with 5 Petals.  The cobalt was generously applied with wide strokes in dark blue.  Stands 16 3/4" tall.  Comes with an equally old carved wooden churn lid. 

     

    Excellent Condition.  A shallow 1/2" chip above the right handles and some scattered light staining from use.  That's it!  No inner rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
