    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this great 2 Gallon Jar with Freehand Decoration from Southwestern Pennsylvania.

     

    Circa 1865 this beauty features Two Cobalt Stripes at the Top, Freehand Vining Across the Shoulder, a Watchkey 2 Capacity Number Flanked by 3 Dashes, and a Bottom Stripe.  Very strong cobalt on a medium gray glaze.  Stands 11 1/2" tall.

     

    Very Good Condition.  A 3 1/2" hairline from the rim on the left side (closeup).   No chips, stains, or restoration.
