Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this unusual 1 1/2 Gallon Crock from Southwestern Pennsylvania.
Circa 1870, this beauty features an Uncommon Crock Form, Squared Rim, Stripe below the Rim, and Upward Sweeping Comma Vining in Two Rows Across the Front. Light gray glaze and darker cobalt for a strong visible contrast. Measures 8 1/4" tall and wide across the top.
Not a piece I have seen before.
Excellent Condition. A flat 1/2" chip on the bottom edge. That's it! No rim chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration. Scattered stone pings in the making.
