Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1/2 Gallon Stoneware from Baltimore, Maryland.

Circa 1870, this beauty features a Tooled Rim with Deep Groove for Ease of Tying a Wax Paper or Cloth Covering Over the Top, and Four Brushed Cobalt Comma Vines Hanging Below.  Light gray glaze gives strong contrast.  Stands 8 3/4" tall.

Excellent Condition.  A narrow, shallow chip on top of the rim that may be from attachment to the piece above it in the kiln (10 o'clock on the top picture).  That's it!  No base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  A kiln touch in one comma vine and a stone ping on the underside in the making.
