Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1/2 Gallon Wax Sealer Canning Jar made in Southwestern Pennsylvania, either Greensboro or New Geneva. 
 
Circa 1870, this beauty features a Tooled Rim with Groove for the Hot Wax to Seal it, Tapered Sides, and Top and Bottom Stripes Framing Brushed Cobalt Comma Vining.  Stands 8 1/2" tall.
 
Excellent Condition.  Minor nibbles around the inside of the rim, and one 1/4" flake outside the rim.  That's it!  No base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  Mottled glaze in the making.
