Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Striper Jug attributed to West Virginia (probably Palatine/Fairmont).
Circa 1870, this beauty features a Tall and Slender "Bullet" Form with Five Brushed Cobalt Stripes Down the Front. One stripe contains the capacity number. Bold cobalt was used to really make an eye-catching decoration! Stands 13 3/4" tall.
Very Good Condition. A tight x-shaped hairline to the left of the handle, 5" vertically and 3" horizontally (closeup), and some light scattered staining. No spout or base chips, cracks, or restoration.
