    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Stoneware Jar made in Southwestern Pennsylvania.

     

    Circa 1870, this beauty features Top to Bottom Freehand Decoration.  From the top down are a stripe outling the rim, another straight stripe accenting the shoulder, two wavy stripes framing freehand vining on the top, and a freehand 2 capacity number bordered by four dashes on each side and underscored by a stripe at the bottom.  Stands 11 1/2" tall. 

     

    Excellent Condition.  Some minor chipping around the inside of the rim.  That's it!  No outer rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
